BeyondMeat Mushroom Cabbage Sauté

BeyondMeat patties are great addition to many dishes. Best Alternative to meat for sure. Adding mushroom and cabbage was a great mix.   

To make this recipe you will need to have the following: 

  • 1/2 cabbage sliced thin 
  • 1 small box of cremini mushrooms, sliced 
  • 1 onion shredded
  • 1 garlic, minced   
  • 2 BeyondMeat patties, cut in cubes  
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of cumin
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper 
  • 1/2 of green bell pepper cut in small cubes 
  • 1/2 tsp of date syrup 
  • 3 tsp virgin olive oil 
 

Step 1: In a sauce pan, add the olive oil to medium heat. Then add the onion, garlic and stir till it turns gold. Then add the green bell peppers, cabbage, and mushroom to the pan. If you need to add more olive oil, do so. It is still healthy. Add another 2 tea spoons of olive oil. 

Step 2: After mixing the vegetables throughly add the spices all together and mix. This process takes about 10 mins. Then add the BeyondMeat patties and stir. Pour the date syrup on top and mix. Stir on medium for 10 minutes till it is soft. Then put the heat to low and cover the pan. Let cook for another 2 more minutes. It should look similar to what in the picture. Taste and add more salt when needed. 

When done, set aside to cool down. You can have this dish with zouq sauce.
